Nash at 15 months

I thought he looked so funny in this vest of Hershal's. He loves to toot around during Anni's soccer games at the park. He babbles constantly and loves to think he is as big as Bo. They have been playing well together, Bo wrestles with him and Nash cracks up. He loves to laugh.

A Day at the Play

Hershal got to go with Granny and his cousins to "Jack and the Beanstalk". He had so much fun and was telling everyone about his busy schedule. The night before the play Mom and Hersh went on a date. He told Gram Maxine, "Oh my Gosh, I am soooo busy today, I have a birthday party , then a movie, then a date with my Mom". Hershal deserved a night out on the town, he has been working really hard on learning to read. He is still learning, but making progress with mom at home and at kindergarten.

Beautiful on the Inside

Anni is doing so well in all of the activities she is involved in. I just wanted to blog about her, because she has impressed me this week with a few different things. I have noticed her start to take on a motherly role with Nash and Hershal this week. She babysits Nash for me, when I need help and she doesn't fuss about it. Today she helped teach Hershal to read by sounding out the letters. She is sweet to all of her classmates and I am really proud of her. I told her today that she is so beautiful, but most importantly she is beautiful on the inside.

Carving Pumpkins

We had fun Carving Pumpkins this year. The kids were in charge of taking out all of the nasty seeds. That is why I don't have a picture of Bo or Hershal doing it- they were too woosy and wouldn't do it. Hershal almost threw up with his first attempt. The smell of it made him sick. Anni was the only one who did it all by herself!

Tiger Bo

sing
Bo was set on being a tiger from day one, he never changed his mind. Luckily I found a costume and made it to fit him. He had so much fun with his cousins trick or treating.

Bloody Mary?

This year Anni was into the "scary" look. She wanted to be a dark bride, then after she tried on the dress she thought she looked like "Bloody Mary"-whoever that is. I made her dress this year, with the help of Granny. It took me a long time, but she was very happy with the final look. I think she was most excited about putting on her own makeup-even if it was black.

The Clown

I felt bad for Hershal this year because last year I made him be a piece of toast. So this year, I thought to myself, I will let Hershal be whatever he wants to be. I asked him 10 times and each time he wanted to be something new. He kept changing his mind. So I said what about a clown? He went along with it until a week before Halloween our ward had a "Trunk or Treat" He said he was tired of being a clown and he wanted to be something else. Well, he ended up being a clown anyway. I think he still had a great Halloween. Even though his hair was "itching him" and his "nose" was bugging. His main concern about being a clown- he didn't want anyone to laugh at him. I tried explaining to him that clowns are supposed to be funny. I think it helped a little.

Animals on the Farm

Since we have moved back to Chandler, we have learned a lot about animals. Irrigation brings ducks to our backyard. I have no idea where they come from? Our one surviving chicken had little chicks yesterday-4 of them! The kids are amazed and so am I. The are all gentle with them-except for Nash. We cleaned out the chicken coop yesterday to try to have a safe place for the new arrivals. They kids named the chicks, Cheetah, Brownie, Peck and Strips.

Anni

The kids loved decorating for Halloween. Here is a picture of our front door and Anni. She even wore Halloween colors for the event!

Bo's Photography

Ever since the kids started school Bo has been interested in using my camera. Most of the time I get my camera out and notice about 100 pictures of the walls and floor, but today he took a decent picture of me----I mean he got most of me!

Nash at 14 months

The first picture capture a typical morning for Nash. He wakes up and imeediately want to go out in the backyard and walk around-shoes or no shoes. He usually combs around the yard for about 45 minutes. He usually looks for his chicken friends and any bugs he can find.
The other pictures, I took for selfish reasons. I laugh inside that Nash has to, do EVERYTHING himself. He HAD to hold his own sub sandwich and HAD to hold his own drumstick. It fine with me because Nash has a fit, if I tell him no, so I guess, I choose the mess over a 1 year old rolling all over the floor in a tantrum.

Bo's Boots

Bo is on a Boot Fetish. He always wants to wear them. When we were walking into the gym yesterday, I stuck my hand out for him to hold it and he told me he was too old for that. I cracked up. Bo is so funny. He still loves playing with cars. He know exactly where the car isle is in Target. I lost him at Target last week and I called his name looking for him. And when I finally found him, there he was in the toy car isle!

"It's On! Reunion 2009

We had so much fun this last weekend at Imperial Beach. It was our first time staying there, but we had a blast! The Jones family had their first "official" reunion and the theme was " It's On!". Becki and Dennis made all of the arrangements and everyone had fun. The adults spent time playing volleyball. Especially Adam and Luke, they joined a "Volleyball Tournament". They did their best , but got spanked by the Brazillians.

Hershal and Bo at the Beach

The boys loved playing with their older cousins...Cooper, Luke and McKay. They had fun in the sun. Bo did not want to boogie board yet, but I think he'll be ready next year. Hershal got into boogie boarding this year.

Anni and the Beach

Anni definetely enjoyed the beach. I don't think I spoke to her but a few times during the day because she was so busy playing with her cousins. They played in the sand and went pretty far in the water and "body" surfed. I saw Anni ride a big wave all the way into the shore- I was impressed. At night after dinner we would all come in for night acitvites. Every night we ended whatever activity was planned with a "DANCE-OFF". Anni's favorite part of the beach-dancing with her cousins! She can move!

Sand Anyone?

Nash had a blast at the beach. He probably ate several cups full of sand! He had a blast eating sand, eating sandy snacks and stealing treats from people. His favorite treat was a caramel apple sucker that was coated with........more Sand! I wish I had a picture of that.

Playing In The Car

I wanted to capture the kids sweaty faces as we were packing up to go to the Beach. The kids found a way to make themselves busy. Nash stayed in the car for almost 1 hour. We tried to take him out of the car, but he cried.

Almost One Year

This is a day in the life of Nash. Eat some food ( I need to cut back on the grease), and play with the Chi-Che. By the way-Adam doesn't believe me, but chi-che is short for chicken and it is the second word he says. The first was da, short for dad.

Nash's first steps

Nash just started taking a few steps. He laughs so hard with each step.
