Nash at 15 months

I thought he looked so funny in this vest of Hershal's. He loves to toot around during Anni's soccer games at the park. He babbles constantly and loves to think he is as big as Bo. They have been playing well together, Bo wrestles with him and Nash cracks up. He loves to laugh.

A Day at the Play

Hershal got to go with Granny and his cousins to "Jack and the Beanstalk". He had so much fun and was telling everyone about his busy schedule. The night before the play Mom and Hersh went on a date. He told Gram Maxine, "Oh my Gosh, I am soooo busy today, I have a birthday party , then a movie, then a date with my Mom". Hershal deserved a night out on the town, he has been working really hard on learning to read. He is still learning, but making progress with mom at home and at kindergarten.

Beautiful on the Inside

Anni is doing so well in all of the activities she is involved in. I just wanted to blog about her, because she has impressed me this week with a few different things. I have noticed her start to take on a motherly role with Nash and Hershal this week. She babysits Nash for me, when I need help and she doesn't fuss about it. Today she helped teach Hershal to read by sounding out the letters. She is sweet to all of her classmates and I am really proud of her. I told her today that she is so beautiful, but most importantly she is beautiful on the inside.

Carving Pumpkins

We had fun Carving Pumpkins this year. The kids were in charge of taking out all of the nasty seeds. That is why I don't have a picture of Bo or Hershal doing it- they were too woosy and wouldn't do it. Hershal almost threw up with his first attempt. The smell of it made him sick. Anni was the only one who did it all by herself!

Tiger Bo

Bo was set on being a tiger from day one, he never changed his mind. Luckily I found a costume and made it to fit him. He had so much fun with his cousins trick or treating.

Bloody Mary?

This year Anni was into the "scary" look. She wanted to be a dark bride, then after she tried on the dress she thought she looked like "Bloody Mary"-whoever that is. I made her dress this year, with the help of Granny. It took me a long time, but she was very happy with the final look. I think she was most excited about putting on her own makeup-even if it was black.

The Clown

I felt bad for Hershal this year because last year I made him be a piece of toast. So this year, I thought to myself, I will let Hershal be whatever he wants to be. I asked him 10 times and each time he wanted to be something new. He kept changing his mind. So I said what about a clown? He went along with it until a week before Halloween our ward had a "Trunk or Treat" He said he was tired of being a clown and he wanted to be something else. Well, he ended up being a clown anyway. I think he still had a great Halloween. Even though his hair was "itching him" and his "nose" was bugging. His main concern about being a clown- he didn't want anyone to laugh at him. I tried explaining to him that clowns are supposed to be funny. I think it helped a little.
